Network Insurance Group and Insurance House are thrilled to announce Team Leader Shiralee McIntyre and Head of Finance Terri Baker as joint recipients of the prestigious IWD Women in Leadership Scholarship for 2025!
An outstanding number of high-quality applications were received from dedicated women across our organisation and our AR/CAR networks, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment and leadership potential demonstrated by all applicants.
A rigorous internal application and selection process was followed by interviews with an external independent panel of accomplished female leaders from across the industry. We collaborated with key strategic partners to form the external judging panel, featuring esteemed industry figures including Demetra Day, Head of Distribution, Australia and New Zealand at Chubb, Liz Telford, Chief Commercial Officer at PassportCard Australia and Pat Priest, Chief Underwriting and Transformation Officer for Australia Pacific at QBE.
Both Shiralee and Terri impressed the judging panels with their clarity of purpose, dedication to leading by example, and strong desire to contribute to the future of leadership within our organisation. The external judging panel was particularly impressed by the exceptional quality of applications and the remarkable leadership potential demonstrated by both Shiralee and Terri, making the decision to award them jointly.
As joint recipients of the scholarship, Shiralee and Terri will receive formal external mentorship with an accomplished female industry leader and tailored programs of personal and professional development.
Andrew Broughton, CEO of Network Insurance Group and Insurance House stated, “This initiative is a cornerstone of our commitment to building diverse and strong leadership across our organisation, and the talent we’ve seen this year has been truly inspiring. Both Shiralee and Terri exemplify the next generation of female leadership, and we are proud to support them in their professional development journey over the next 12 months and beyond.”
Please join us in celebrating Shiralee and Terri’s fantastic achievement.
